Yoga & Meditation Classes

These Yanumoja yoga classes are based in the Hatha yoga tradition. They are an eclectic mix of stimulating, regenerative yoga for body and soul. Each class incorporates a central theme, and uses posture, movement, breath, relaxation and meditation to create space for reflection and rejuvenation. Come explore your energy, open your awareness and awaken to life!

- Yoga classes are 60 minutes. Meditation classes are 45 minutes.

April - May - June 2026 yoga schedule:
- Mondays - 9:30am - Apr 20 - June 29. Greely & online. (No classes May 18, June 8, June 15.)
- Mondays - 12:00noon - Apr 20 - June 29. Manotick & online. (No classes May 18, June 8, June 15.)
- Mondays - 7:15pm - Apr 20 - June 29. Manotick (usually), & online. (May 11 & June 8 classes are in Greely. No classes May 18, June 15.)

- Thursdays - 9:30am - Apr 23 - June 25. Greely & online. (No classes May 14, June 18.)
- Thursdays (breathing class) - 10:30am (15 minutes) - gentle guided practice sessions. There is no charge for these sessions.
- Fridays (gentle) - 9:30am - Apr 17 - June 26. Manotick & online. (May 15 is online only - no in-person. No class June 19.)

Rest & Replenish monthly yoga classes: Saturdays April 25, May 30, June 27 - 1:30pm-3:00pm
- Rest and replenish with this gentle yoga classes that is a mix of restorative yoga, gentle somatic movements, guided breath, and relaxation that will calm your nervous system and leave you feeling restored. Practices that harness the body’s relaxation response can help with a  range of issues including reducing inflammation and pain, improving mood and sleep, and helping us move with more ease and efficiency, so we can be doing the things we want to be doing with our non-yoga hours :) 
- This class is in-person in Greely, or online via zoom.

Yoga Nidra meditation: Wednesdays, March 25, April 8, April 22, May 6 - 10:30am-11:15am
- This class is in-person in Greely, or online via zoom.

General Class Requests:
- Please arrive a few minutes early to your class to get settled.
- Bring a yoga mat, and wear comfortable clothing. Supportive props (blocks, a strap, a towel, a small pillow, a blanket, a bolster) are useful if you have them (or some equivalent) handy - but are not required.
- Classes are open to all levels of experience - beginners are welcome!
- Leanne is a Yoga Therapist certified by IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists), and a Registered Yoga Instructor (E-RYT) with Yoga Alliance. Other certifications include: iRest Yoga Nidra, Buteyko Breathing, Radiant Child (levels 1 and 2), Yin Yoga, FRIENDS for Life, Restorative Yoga, Pain Care Yoga, Prenatal yoga.

About Yanumoja Yoga:
Yanumoja yoga was founded by Nikki Manzie in 1998. It is based in the Hatha yoga tradition, and includes the tantric philosophy of embracing awareness of one's true nature while fully engaging in life.

Yan is a Sanskrit word meaning to retain. It is the root of the word Yantra, which refers to a device, machine or pattern that focuses or channels energies. Umoja is a KiSwahili word meaning unity. Yoga means to unite, yoke, or join. Yanumoja yoga is a set of practices that help us focus our energies to unity and self-awareness.
